Product Descriptions Disappearing issue

Product Descriptions Disappearing issue

i have set up joomshopping on a website for a client.
everything was going fine until recently the large descriptions of the products themselves started to disappear from the front end AND the back end. the actual product was still there but the large descriptions seem to have been deleted.

The descriptions also randomly start to appear again once in awhile by themselves and different ones start to disappear. there is no pattern to the disappearing and reappearing that i can see.

Just wondering if this has ever been an issue before or if there is a simple fix for the issue that would be great!
