I need to create a field for each product that allows a customer to type free text for a personalised product. Con you let me know if this is possible and if so how to do it?

I think it's responses like this that get so many people frustrated with JoomShopping, and cause them to leave for other products.

I'm an experienced Joomla user/developer. The only reason that I even realized that Free Attributes existed was because I was digging through the code, looking to add my own functionality.


Now that I know they exist, I've spent 20 minutes wading through a mish-mash of English/German forums, only to get answers like "Use free attribute". While this response was technically accurate, it is frustratingly useless.

Where's the manual?!?

Some functions must be activated under:

shop-functions, also free attributes.

After activation you can it use under options. It is easy.

Is the purpose of the free attributes to give extra information, or is it possible to make a menu item which refers to the free attribute?

Hello,

with a free attribute the CUSTOMER can give information to the show-owner.

For example:
You sell t-shirts with individuel text. The customer can now give you the text for the t-shirt (to print...)

Extra informations for a product you can give with "characteristics"
