Too many attributes

Is there a way to turn off the showing of attributes in the back end? It takes 15 minutes to load a product page because all of the attributes show up. It is an unlimited item. I don't need to see each different combination of attributes. Please tell me how to turn them off? The component is awesome, it just shows every combination of attribute and causes the page to get bogged down.

I cannot figure out how to "not list" the attributes. All I need to do is be able to see it on the order. The product is unlimited. Have you been able to figure it out?

I still want the user to be able to choose attributes on a product page, I just dont want to see EVERY combination of options at the backend. They are all the same product with different options. I have 205 fragrances for my candles and 53 colors. 205 x 53 = 10865 different options to choose from that must load when I load the product page on the backend.

Will commenting out the list_attr_ in the javascript help? If so, where can I do this? I tried and i get nothing but errors so I have put it back to original condition. Please help! My friend has a ship and has the same issue!

Unfortunately, due to lack of support and scalability with this app, I have decided to throw it out. Virtumart seems to be the only choice of ecommerce in joomla. Very nice possibilities may happen with this app, but not at the given time. Thanks!

Surely you need to see every combination of attributes so as you can select the right combination for each product? No?

No, I have a gift shop and products are made to order.

I know If I have all my colors selected, and my fragrances selected for my candles, then I know they only have those options to choose from. When my employees pick an order, they pick the fragrance and color and make the candle. The attributes come up when you select them and select add, theres no need for this unless your a retail store selling a white teddy bear, a red teddy bear, etc.

I have over 15000 different combinations you can make through the attributes I have, this is rediculously slow when it comes to load the page, I have to completely turn attributes off, save the item and then turn attributes back on to make a change. When I make the change, then I reapply the attributes and wait another 20 minutes for the page to add attributes and another 10 for the product to save.

I just want to select attributes and push save rather than select attributes and push add, see all the items populate, and then save.


I dont need to see attribute combinations. If I have an option highlighted on the product page, that means i have it in stock.

I too am experiencing this problem. I want to show 4 select boxes each with 10 options - 10^4 = 10,000 entries but it times out.

The thing is, none of these affect the price, they can just be options. If each free attribute had its own option list this kind of thing would be possible I think.
