Manufacturer not working in front-end

Manufacturer not working in front-end

I've added a first manufacturer. In the back-end's product detail page, I can choose the manufacturer from the "manufacturer name"s drop down menu. However, in front-end's latest product module, the manufacturer is not shown(I've made sure to choose "show manufacturer" option). In fact, when I look at the code, in the module's default.php file, variable

$product->manufacturer->name

is null. Also I check the database structure but couldn't find where the product is linked to the manufacturer. In the `#_jshopping_products` table, there is only a "manufacturer code", which I don't know what it is and I have posted another post inquiring about this.

So is my database structure defected? Or did I miss something important?

Live page is http://bs.nycweb.io, upon opening the page, you will see a popup window where you can see the variable $row in "default.php" file of module latest product.

Could you please tell me in general how products is related their respective manufacturer database-wise? For example, products are linked to category by the table #__jshopping_product_to_category. I've thought it was that "manufaturer code", but it turns out no matter what number I put for it, I can choose "manufacturer name" independently though
