URL problem .. again :-(

Hello there,

I'm sorry, that I'm asking this again, but:

I have Joomshoping category module for show my categories on the left side my website. I have many categories with many subcategories.

- main category
- - sub category

URL 1:
www.mysite.com/e-shop/main-category

URL 2:
www.mysite.com/e-shop/sub-category

I don't like it. I want seo links like:
www.mysite.com/e-shop/main-category/sub-category

I really don't know, hot to do that. I'm searching this forum many times, I found one answer:

- use category module
- create menu item "url"

I'm using category module, but I don't know, what's means "create menu item url" ? Where, whith parameters or what? I have just create menu item joomshoping - categories, title "e-shop", leaving blank parameters..

Can someone help me?

any ideas why?

If I have 2 categories with same name, but each have other parent category, this is problem.

- new cars
- - audi
...
- old cars
- - audi

.. when I click on second audi (in the old cars) this show me audi category from "new cars"

probably I must use my own menu, so I must create menu in joomla...
but this gave me somethink like this:

www.mysite.com/cars/cars/audi

Yes, I know this. Every time, when someone create topic "seo links problem" you do CTRL+C - CTRL+V with "create menu item eshop and use module category.."

But you know.. Its does not working.

I create category module, than I create menu item e-shop with blank parameters and this is working, but working bad.

I have links like:
.com/e-shop/cars
.com/e-shop/audi

But categories I have:
- cars
- - audi
- old cars
- - audi

So when I click on old cars - audi, url was .com/e-shop/audi - and this shows me product from cars / audi ...

When you wrote me "create menu item, use module category" I open menu item e-shop (check, if everythink is right) and when I save it, my links broke:
.cz/component/jshopping/akumulatorove-naradi?Itemid=141

I have last question about seo links:

My client want /eshop/cars/audi links, so I made this with menu module.

I have menu /home/about/contact/eshop

In menu item eshop I have child category joomshoping "CARS" and ID of this category..

So when I click on my site on "eshop" button, on the left side I see my categories.. It is all right.

Links are:
.com/e-shop/cars/audi .. on this link I see list of my products. When I click on detail produkt, link change like this:
.com/e-shop/cars/audi/audi/product_name

So is there any way to fix this, so I get:
.com/e-shop/cars/audi/product_name
instead:
.com/e-shop/cars/audi/audi/product_name

why this put somecategory/subcategory into URL adress?

.com/eshop/category/product - this is, what I want.

In case of wrong menu item selection when clicking on a subcategory or a "related product" entry we have created a Joomla! plugin which will fix the links (and also the SEO urls).

Attention!
This plugin is only searching for menu items specifying a category. Manufacturer menu items are not considered. if someone needs it, it is simple to copy the plugin and refactor it for manufacturers.

This is a real problem in Joomshopping.
The best solution is to make a menu structure with addon_jshopping_menu_builder_2.1.1.zip by handwork. If you have lots of categories and more languages then it is a hard work!

webuniverse's solution looks great but it is not updated anymore. It looks like for me it is not working with the newest Joomshopping. So I am without solution. It is very interesting that this problem is not a problem to everybody. Maybe just a few people thinks SEO and category structure is important.

Dear Webdesigner, I would like to ask for a solution because of this problem exists for years already and I think it is important. If it would be a payed extension, no problem! We will buy it! Thanks!
