Prices to EU companies without VAT

Hi,

my shop shows and calculates prices with German VAT correctly but not with EU-company customers. Here an example for a netherland company:

1) Options/Tax/NLE Tax-Value 0% and extended tax rules VAT 19% / company VAT 0% (works perfect for Netherland end users who have to pay VAT)

2) Configuration/Other Config : extended rules for compnaies is set to "company customer"

3) Configuration/Registry field customertype is set and UID is set, too

4) Configuration/show tax rules is marked (which is needed for end users)

5) Configuration/General/Show Prices in Frontend is BRUTTO, extended configuration is Netherlands BRUTTO for Endusers and NETTO for companies

If I log in as a Netherlands user, choose customer tpe company and enter my VAT-ID prices are correctly displayed as Netto (without VAT) but the display shows net-price and as text "zzgl 19% Mwst" (addl 19% VAT). The text should be nothing or "zzgl. 0% MwSt".

Furthermore the VAT(MwSt) is shown and calculated in the shopping cart, too.

How can I solve this?

Thanks

Andreas

Hi,

that Link gives no solution for a country where you can buy either with VAT as enduser or without VAT as a company.

Cheers

Andreas

Sorry to stress this more. But it's a relevant part and (in my opinion) extremely complicated to configure.

Let's start with an easy case: Schweiz without MwSt

I configured:

1) Configuration/Shop-Functions:MwST marked to show "including MwSt" in cataegories/products for German customers
2) Options/Countries : Schweiz is active
3) Options/Tax-Rates: CHE 0%
4) Options/Tax-Rates Extended Rules : CHE MwSt 0%, Company Mwst 0%
5) Configuration/Allgemein (General?): Admin prices : Brutto,
6) Configuration/Allgemein: Frontend: Brutto
7) Configuration/Allgemein : Extended Configuration: Schweiz: Displayed prices Netto, Company prices Netto

The result is that prices for Switzerland are shown correctly as Netto (without VAT) but shows the text "zzgl. Mwst 19%" which is wrong.

Only if I disable the "including Mwst" item in Configuration/Shop-Function this sentence disappears. But then it's not shown for Germans, too.

I'm a bit confused by now.

Any help would be great ;-)

Thanks

Andreas

Yepp, the price is Netto without VAT but it still shows 19%. See attachment. The calculation in the cart ist 19%, too. It shows the wrong VAT in the last step of the checkout.

Cheers

Sorry, I don't understand that.

One tax for all Countries? The extended rules will be different for each country.
Can you please provide an example?

What to do for

Schweiz (enduser 0%, cpompany 0%),
Germany (enduser 19%, company 19%),
Netherlands (enduser 19%, company 0)

Thanks
Andreas

OK I did that. Now I had to set the admin prices (configuration, general) to Netto as I've read in an other thread.

That works but then all prices are "wrong" as all old prices (which were Brutto) are now treated as netto. Therefore they are 19% too high and need to be changed manually or by SQL ;-(

But thanks. It seems to work but I think I can't make a sense of all this different menue-items. Maybe you chould re-configure this in one of the following releases.

Thanks for your help again

Andreas

Hi,

this solution leads me to the next problem.

When you calculated net-prices ,you are getting miscalculations and Brutto-prices are not displayed correctly.

Example: Brutto-price 10.99€ is a Netto-Price of 9.2353. As soon as you enter that, Joomshopping automatically generates 9.24 Netto which will lead to a Brutto price of 10.9956€ which results in 11.00€ after you save the product ;-(

I've already set the product price precision in the "other config" to 4.

Is there a way to fix that? My customner wonders, why the shop calculates "wrong" (see attachment: 49.00 + 5.90 is NOT 54.91) which is a result out of this, too.

Thanks

Andreas

I've just seen that the problem might be the table structure of the database. Can I set it from Decimal (12,2) to Decimal (12,4)?

OK,

now everything works well. You should implement that in your next DB-Update:

Table j25_jshopping_products: Item product_price from Decimal (12,2) to Decimal (12,4)
Table j25_jshopping_shipping_method_price: Item shipping_stand_price from Decimal (12,2) to Decimal (12,4)

Set product price precision in the "other config" to 4.

After that enter the correct Netto values in the shop backend. Voila!

Regards

Andreas
