Showing the shop together with text articles on one page

Dear Webdesigner,
is there any possibility to show the shop together with some text articels on one page? I would like to give a little introduction to my shop on the homepage followed by a few products. By clicking on the menu button for shop the whole shop should appear.
Is there an easy way to accomlish this?
