Registration denied
Hi,
I am running for while 2.24. My shop is not very frequently visited. A few days before it was neccassary to replace the hardware and installed a complete backup from the old server to my new hardware.
It seems that since that time users cannot register in my webshop. Ordering without registration is possible. Email etc. was/is working fine (so far). I made now all updates to the new 2.6.2. Same problem. Im getting on the website always the error message: old bookmark; old index; wrong adress; access denied (I translated these messages from German text into english by myself but I guess you understand the meaning of these messages)
Than I installed the shop in a test environment. Everything seems to be fine and working ... including registration
Any ideas what the problem could be?
My idea is to make a new installation. But what will happen with the content/products in my shop? How can I backup all entries?
I think the problem is not realy a problem of the product. But I have to get it up and running again.

I just found the problem by myself. It was the joomla registration which was switched off. After switching the joomla registration on the shop system is working.
But now the next question. Why do I need the registration in joomla too? You have a database/table with the customer information already in your system. I thought always that the shop is working with these information.

I'm trying to set my system up to not require registration. However, if I have a user who has registered on the Joomla site, it does not allow that user to complete the checkout because it indicates they are already a user and should log in. How to fix this?
