Adding link via JCE Editor in articles adds /catID/ProdID

Hi,
When using JCE Editor to add links to a menu item it adds the cat and product id to the end of the url creating a 404 error:

www.mysite.com/career-style-report/1/2

If the /1/2 was not generated it would work...
the menu was created using these instructions:

I have followed these instructions:
Created a new menu shop > created a new menu item > shop > Joomshopping > Category > no settings
Created a new menu item > product name > under shop menu item > Joomshopping > Product > Added product ID
Created new menu module and choose my new menu. This does not, url is mydomain.com/shop/personality-profile and returns a 404.

Created a new menu shop > created a new menu item > shop > Joomshopping > Category > no settings
Created a new menu item > product name > under shop menu item > Joomshopping > Catogory > Added Product category ID > Product > Added product ID. Created new menu module and choose my new menu. This works great.

Added a product name in text in an article. Highlighted text in JCE Editor > Add new Link > Choose menu option > chose new menu shop > choose the menu for the product. This does not work, it adds the category ID and product ID at the end of the url.
