Coupons/Discounts
love joomshopping and the simplicity of everything.
One thing that i could really do with though is the ability to specify what category or categories the discounts are applied to, so that user groups don't get discounts on ALL products on ALL sales. So i see this as a feature within the creation of the user group (in exactly the manner that you select the categories when adding a product)
Simliarily, something like this for coupons, so that a coupon could be used in a specific category, or on a specific product.
Has anyone done anything like this, and is it pretty straightforward.
As an aside, i'd happily look at paying for this feature

An extension of the coupon abilities would be a GREAT commercial extension! I believe it would be in high demand!
Is there one already developed by someone?
I attached an example of a good way to set it up. I am sure others have further suggestions/requests.

just to clarify the user groups would just be those taken from the joomla user groups in j1.6/7

Yeap... I think a feature, module, plugin that allowed to create coupons that apply to some products/categories would be a really successful one!
I am sure a lot of people will pay for that. For sure people will be more interested in that than in other less interesting premium features...

I agree this should be actioned:
1.
Coupon: Group set : Product set
2.
I still think groups is still in it's beta application. I would like to get the user to say they belong to this organisation and they can put in their member number and then receive Coupon features as above.
