Invoice number / Next finished order number question

Hey
thanks for this addon, I think it works so far. One question:
If payment with credit card fails, the order goes trough, it is finished, but gets the status "cancelled". These orders still get a proper invoice number, right? Would it be possible to give them a temporary number as well and only use proper invoice numbers for orders with the status "paid" or "sent"?

Order status ID - for generate Invoice number.
Works only with configuration:
Send invoice manually: Yes

This works. Is there an easier way to generate the invoice manually other than click on "edit" and then save?
