Is there possible to choice different number of products. Sometimes they can choice only 2 or sometimes 4?

Select X (1 to 5) products and click "Compare" and a picture with the selected number will be shown. Now it's hard to know how many items you have to choose to see the comparison. I have tried to find out that you only need to choose two units, but in order to be displayed you have to choose the first yet again (confusing).

The part that shows is only the short descriptions and doesn´t tell so much of the product. I have bought tabs to my site, is that causing trouble?
