Hi,
First congratulations for JoomShopping - as I mention in my review in JED, it's probably the best shopping component ever used.

The reason for my post is that I've been dealing with quite weird result after successful payments made with PayPal. Here's what I'm experiencing:

-> After successful payment using PayPal, the user is correctly redirected back to the site and download allowed is available, but, and this is the big issue, the system does not send the emails and does not save the invoice, as I mention, even if the paypemnt was successful and the order status is set correctly as Paid.

-> checking te log files, they are empty, so cannot send any additional info on this, although the system is set to save the log.

A note to say that if used other payment method, the system works in perfection.

Is there any way or known patch that I can apply to fix this issue?

Backend settings for PayPal:
- Test mode: No.
- Email: the correct is set
- Order status by order: Paid, Pending, Cancelled.
- Verify data: No
- Use SSL: No
- Overriding addresses: No

Just a quick question - turning SSL: yes isn't just for SSL enabled websites?
Enable logs is set to yes.

Thanks again. As I mentioned, the weird is that the logs are empty, although the payment is correctly processed, except for the emails and pdf on PayPal.
I enabled SSL now and will check. If it works fine, it's solved.

Hi, Order is finished, payment is completed and confirmed, order status changed to paid automatically but still no pdf nor emails like the system correctly sends for other payment methods. Now the logs are working but the pdf and emails don't and I've set the SSL on as you mentioned.

Is there any patch I could test for this issue? The pdfs and emails on PayPal aren't still working.

Yes, I get the emails, I get the correct pdf when using the other payments systems. Only happens on PayPal (which is the main in fact).
On Paypal everything works except the pdf and emails.
This means that the user is able to buy, to pay, to see is order and even to download the product. But no pdf, no email with the order and the order status updates, from Paypal, are sent to my email address as "Hi user name, your order status changed to Paid. (...)

Just got another one from PayPal and the situation remains the same - no emails, no pdf, although I have set the settings as you mentioned. So it isn't working.

Hi,

I won't bother you more with this issue. Just one question for me to test and then perhaps decide on using another system.

Wat is the correct setting for PayPal config "Order Status for successful transactions" - Paid or Complete?

Yes, using another payment system that works completely, because Paypal isn't working correctly.

As for the administrator access, this is something that nobody should ask when trying to solve an issue that is code related.

Well, that's good. My isn't working and I have the latest version, all settings as defined, and no pdf for PayPal, incorrect emails sent to admin for Paypal. Wish you all the luck but I won't waste any more time on this subject, especially when there isn't even documentation to follow up.
