Shipping Surcharge on certain Products only

Hello

Our current shipping method depends on COUNTRY and WEIGHT.

There are certain products that require a SURCHARGE to the shipping price because they have to be shipped SEPARATELY. So in effect 2 postages in one order, or simply an extra Surcharge for specific products.

(Example: A poster needs to be sent in a separate package/roll.)

Is this possible? And is it compatible with the current shipping which works fine for all other products?

I have not installed the addon you suggested YET,
because there is already SOME addon for shipping, and it has the same name, but it allows only definitions by "country" and by "weight". (see second screenshot above)

Is this a different version of "shipping-product"?

Should I also install the addon you suggested so that the first works for COUNTRY/WEIGHT and the other works for SURCHARGE on specific products?

and should I instal in each shop separately?

It was already installed in the shop you made for us. (not downloaded by me)
That's why I don't know if I can safely use a second addon.

Not sure. There is a tab called "Lieferart" but I am not sure this allows me to make definitions.

So how can I set SOME products with separate shipping or a surcharge?

Most products are fine with shipping calculated by weight and country.
Only some need to have additional shipping costs.
I tried to make a definition for just those products and allocate that definition to the category (POSTERS)

But it turns out when the customer buys a Poster AND a book -- that the system is confused and does not add ANY shipping costs.

Not sure how to deals with this. Thanks for you help.

Unfortunately, I do not have the same options as on the screenshot -- or so it seems.

I may have found another reason:
I tried to set the CATEGORY SHIPPING OPTIONS for this particular "category" (POSTERS)
and told the system to "Use category shipping options for all products of this category" (see PDF)
but this setting does not work.
When I click the box and save, it jumps back to "un-clicked".

There must be an overriding setting somewhere, but I don't know where.

So is it possible to have a SURCHARGE on certain products that will show in the shipping costs?

Vielleicht noch einmal auf Deutsch: ich hätte gerne einen Porto-Zusatz für bestimmte Produkte.
Normalerweise werden die Lieferkosten nach Gesamtgewicht der bestellten Produkte und nach Lieferland berechnet. Eine bestimmte Kategorie von Produkten aber sollte separat versendet werden und braucht daher eigenes Porto, also 2x Porto auf der Rechnung.

Das klappt aber irgendwie nicht, obwohl unter den Optionen auch ein Preis für "Verpackung" eingestellt werden kann, kommt dennoch immer nur die Berechnung nach Gesamtgewicht der Sendung.

I am really sorry, but this does not work.
Please, would it be ok that you look into the shop directly? Can I PM you the login?

The issue is: each product has all shipping categories listed (that was set by you when you programmed the shop) presumably because the system only decides at checkout what shipping price needs to be used.
But when I set special shipping prices for CERTAIN products, and the cart contains such a product AND another "normal" product, then there is NO shipping added and the checkout cannot complete itself.

What I would like to have: shipping is calculated and added automatically (not selected by the customer) based on total weight of order AND country of delivery; plus CERTAIN products have additional postage ON TOP of the weight/country calculation.

Please could you have a look if this is possible, or not.
