Joomshopping Addons: Attribute tax

Different VAT rates for one and the same product — a printed book is taxed at 19% while its electronic version (the same product, a different attribute) is taxed at 12%, for instance. The addon applies the right tax rate automatically, depending on the attribute value the customer selected.

Features

• The tax rate is assigned to a particular value of a dependent or independent product attribute (onBeforeGetTaxProduct, onBeforeDisplayAjaxAttrib)
• Configured through a separate tab on the product edit page in the backend: choose the attribute → choose the value → assign a tax rate from the existing JoomShopping tax list
• Storage: a separate #__jshopping_products_attr_tax table (product_id, attr_id, value_id, tax_value)
• When an attribute is changed on the frontend, the tax is updated through the onBeforeDisplayAjaxAttrib AJAX hook without reloading the page
• 2 JoomShopping system plugins are installed: jshoppingadmin (the backend configuration) and jshoppingproducts (applying the tax on the frontend)
