Joomshopping Payments: Trust Pay

Accept payments via Trust Payments (Secure Trading) — credit cards, PayPal and other payment methods on a secure payment page with 3-D Secure support.

The addon adds Trust Payments as a payment method in JoomShopping. Once the order is placed, the customer is redirected automatically to the secure Trust Payments payment page (Hosted Payment Pages), picks a convenient payment method and returns to your shop. In addition, Trust Payments sends the payment result directly to your server, and the order is only set to paid after this server-side confirmation — no manual reconciliation by the administrator.

Features

• Automatic redirect to the Trust Payments payment page immediately after the order is placed
• Every payment method enabled on your Trust Payments account (credit cards, PayPal, wallets) is available to the customer on one page
• 3-D Secure check before the money is taken: the payment runs in two steps — cardholder verification and authorisation of the amount
• All data sent to the payment page is signed: the amount or the order number cannot be tampered with on the customer's side
• Signature verification of the server notification from Trust Payments — the order is confirmed only by a genuine notification, not by the customer returning in the browser
• The payment amount and currency are checked against the order: on a mismatch the order is set to pending and the case is written to the log — money is neither lost nor silently confirmed
• Automatic order status change based on the payment result: separate statuses for successful, pending and failed payments — each selected from your shop's status list
• Cancelled and declined payments are recognised separately, and the error text from the payment provider is stored with the order
• The payer's details (name, address, phone, e-mail) are transferred automatically and the payment page opens in the language of the site — the customer does not have to enter anything again
• The order number is passed to Trust Payments and shown in the back office together with the transaction reference — payments are easy to match with orders

Settings

• Site reference — the identifier of your site in Trust Payments
• WS Password — the password used to sign the data sent to the payment page
• Url Notification Password — the password used to verify the authenticity of server notifications
• Profile — the layout profile of the payment page (default unless another one is set)
• Transaction end status — order status on a successful payment
• Transaction pending status — order status while the payment is being processed
• Transaction failed status — order status on a failed payment

Technical notes

• A Trust Payments (Secure Trading) account is required, with Hosted Payment Pages enabled and the Site Security and URL Notification passwords set in the back office
• The notification URL has to be entered in the Trust Payments back office — it is shown right in the payment method settings in your shop's administration
• The notification settings must include the fields: enrolled errorcode errormessage orderreference requesttypedescription responsesitesecurity settlestatus transactionreference currencyiso3a baseamount — without them the signature check and the amount comparison cannot work
• Notification signature problems and amount mismatches are written to the shop logs paymentdata.log and payment.log together with the order number
• Your shop must be reachable by the Trust Payments servers from the outside, not protected by a password or restricted by IP — otherwise payment notifications will not arrive
