Joomshopping Modules: Search plus

Instant product search right in the module — no page reload and no extra clicks.

Features (confirmed by the module code)

• Real-time AJAX search — the request is sent 500 ms after the last keystroke (debounce in js/ajaxsearch.js), with a loading indicator (.block_loader / preloader) and automatic cancellation of the previous request.
• Category filter — a dropdown of categories (element/categories.php, the tree built by Helper::buildTreeCategory), with the options to:
  • search in one given category only (category_id);
  • include subcategories (include_subcat);
  • search in the current (active) category of the page (active_cur_cat).
• Search type setting — any word, all words or the exact phrase (searchtype: any / all / exact).
• Limiting and extending the results — the number of results in the dropdown (displaycount, 10 by default) and an optional "show other results" link leading to the full search page (more_results).
• Showing the product category in the results (show_category) — an additional SQL query to #__jshopping_products_to_categories respecting the access rights of the user.
• A "nothing found" message — switched on by its own parameter (show_no_result / NO_RESULTS).
• A link to the advanced search below the field (advanced_search), leading to the standard JoomShopping search page.
• Sitelinks Search Box — when enabled on the home page of the site, the module adds schema.org/WebSite JSON-LD markup with a SearchAction, so Google can show a search box right in the site snippet.
• "Full url ajax query" — a mode in which the AJAX request always goes to the full site URL (with scheme and host), which solves relative path problems in multi-domain and proxy setups.
• The product price is shown according to the JoomShopping settings (Helper::getDisplayPriceForProduct, with a "from" prefix when the product has the "price from" option enabled).
• A full-fledged Joomla module with its own caching settings, template (tmpl/default.php) and an overridable layout.
