Joomshopping Plugins: Google Analytics E-Commerce Tracking

Google Analytics sees more than visits — it sees the customer's whole path to the order. The plugin connects Google Analytics Ecommerce to JoomShopping and sends catalogue, cart and checkout events.

You see which products are viewed, what goes into the cart, at which checkout step people leave and which channels bring real revenue — not just traffic.

Integration: Ecommerce Tracking

Features

• Google Analytics Ecommerce for JoomShopping
• Support for GA4 and Enhanced Ecommerce, as well as the old Ecommerce Tracking (ga.js)
• Events sent: product view, add to cart, remove from cart, cart view, begin checkout, checkout steps, purchase and refund
• Purchase data: order number, order contents with prices and quantities, total, shipping and tax
• A refund is sent automatically when the order status changes and when the order is deleted
• Two tracking IDs at once — your own and your agency's, for example
• The currency of the data sent is configurable
• Works without any template changes

Main settings

The settings are in Plugins → JoomShopping google_analytics_e_tracking:

• Google Analytics ID — the tracking ID, UA or GA4
• Google Analytics ID 2 — a second tracking ID, optional
• Type — Enhanced Ecommerce (the modern variant, GA4) or Ecommerce Tracking (Old version - ga.js)
• Currency — the ISO currency code for the transmitted data

Warning

Ecommerce must be enabled in Google Analytics itself — otherwise the events will be sent but the reports will stay empty.
